What is the function of filters only allows DC but in capacitor u can say that it can only allows ac but how is it possible

But capacitor and resistor are connected in parallel with rectifier so in case voltage across rectifier changes, the voltage across resistor and capacitor should instantaneously change to match rectifier voltage
