I lost someone close to me many moons ago. She didn't die, to be clear, but the person I loved died within her and something else took her place, and it haunts me to this day, I often wonder which is worse, when you watch someone die, or when you watch them slowly become a complete stranger.

When someone you love dies. They die leaving you the knowledge they love you back.

But here, part of me still loves them, knowing full well that they live to hate me.
