Everyone is misunderstanding Trump when he defends himself as being "sarcastic".

An accepted synonym for sarcastic is "caustic", meaning able to burn or corrode organic tissue by chemical action.

Hence, the disinfectant sodium hydroxide (bettern known as "lye") is also known as "caustic soda".

Or, as it should forever now become known, "sarcastic soda".
