Gavalas Winery in Megalochori is a small, friendly Megalochori winery that has been family-run for 5 generations. Gavalas offers an intimate wine tasting experience without any caldera views. Three tasting options are offered with a small selection of wine available for purchase. Tours take about an hour. There’s no restaurant on site but there is a good taverna nearby that serves traditional Greek food.

Santo Wines in Pyrgos is a large, modern winery with stunning views of the caldera and cliffs. One of the Santorini’s most popular wineries for tasting, Santo makes and sells a wide range of wines including white, red, sparkling, oak-aged & unoaked, & Vinsanto dessert wine. Santo’s on-site restaurant offers a good variety of snacks, entrees, and desserts.

Venetsanos Winery in Megalochori is a charming winery, featuring traditional Cycladic architecture and offering gorgeous views of the caldera and volcanic cliffs. Venetsanos offers a handful of wines for tasting, using mostly Assyrtiko and Mandilaria grapes. An a la carte menu with a variety of cheeses and some traditional food items like dolmathes is also availableon their Sunset Terrace. Tours offered hourly.
