We booked a full day trip to Pamukkale from Marmaris to see the thermal pools.
Pamukkale means “cotton castle” in Turkish and it is true, it resembles a castle of fluffy cotton. Pamukkale's famous hot springs are what attracted us in the first place to visit this beautiful and mysterious site. However Pamukkale travertines was not just one attraction on our trip; Pamukkale neighbours the ancient city Hierapolis where, thousands of years ago, the Romans built the city of Hierapolis so they could enjoy the health and beauty benefits of the hot springs.
