I was taught that it offspring does not blend but rather expresses the two colours in patches. In the example of the cows at least.

Co dominance is when both alleles are dominant in the heterozygote, how ever with referenceto the heinemann biology HSC textbook, page 141, the example of the Antirhinnum plants is incorrect. This is because the offspring of pink flowers I a complete example of incomplete dominance as niether allele has complete control over the trait. So we had a discussion about this in class as well and we picked up the example in the text book is incorrect.
Not0ntheless, a better example of co dominance would be the crossing of blood types, for example when the blood A is crossed with B the new blodd type is AB. Or, cows, crossing homozygous white and brown cow will produce a roan cow. Just thought I should clarify the confusion :)
