The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Salatul Wasalam) was given the options to be a rich Prophet or a poor Prophet and he chose to be a poor Prophet. So, poor people should not be blemish for being poor. When you're confronted with any situation like poverty, look at it as the Qadr of Allah. Poverty is not a measurement of Allah's anger with you and riches is also not a measurement of Allah's pleasure with you. Your poverty could be a blessing if you're patient because the wealth of a poor person is patient.
