one of the forgotten greats. I once bought the double LP dancing sunbeams, half, mono, half, stereo, 100% awesome!!
I usually don't much care for "standards", but his playing is sooo smooth and strong.  Thanks for the upload  :?)

Coltrane's influence shows here. Greatly reduced vibrato and enhanced speed. Art Pepper also was affected by Coltrane, with a not so good result. Always a great question for artists: Do you stay hip by adopting the latest trend, or stay true? An older style can remain very relevant, IF the chops don't fade, and if the soul remains pure.
