@patrickJMT I did exactly what you did in the video. I was then asked to justify algebraically on the "b" part of the question. I thought that finding the inverse was justifying alg. apparently I was wrong.

my answer was.

f-1= 3x-5/-3x-5 why?

i did it like this..

y= -5-5x/-3-3x
x=-5-5y/-3-3y
-3x-3xy=-5+5y
-5y-3xy=3x-5
y(-5-3x)= 3x-5
y= 3x-5/-5-3x

does changing where the "y" is place change the answer? please help

Why do you switch x and y just like that? x isnt = y?
