Thats not how mark teaches people to ohp. People love to shit on starting strength, but if you take out the "eat more eat more eat more" philosophy, and if people did starting strength as novices, they'd make way more progress than majority of people. When it comes to training NOT DIET, everything mark teaches will get people jacked.

This is less about Rip and more about the coach not being competent. Rip endorses the press to have a layback like what’s on the diagram on the wall which is not even 15% of the angle being used here

Any losers want to acknowledge a 135 press? Thats elite pressing strength. If you are a real competitor you understand that you get your hands dirty when you dig down. That’s guts. I’d be honored to for her to teach my athletes what it means to give everything you’ve got. She may not be liked here, but that’s championship mindset.

The headline is click bait and fake news to get traffic. Mark never said the trap bar is bad for your back. He said, it does not engage enough muscle like the traditional deadlift. It hit differently and Starting Strength hits differently ta boot!
