It's absurd how Emma Anderson's name gets ignored in every music magazine discussion about great guitar players. She's amazing.

The first time I heard of Lush was about 1:30AM on a Sunday morning in March, 1991 when I awoke from a deep sleep on my couch; had the tv tuned into 120 Minutes on MTV. I thought I was dreaming while hearing this, sat up rubbed my eyes and saw these lovely girls singing this ethereal, angelic tune. I just sat there totally enraptured by the sonic blast, the jingly jangly guitars...I've never forgotten that moment.

something about lush’s music takes me to a realm where i’m okay. Just a place where the music feels out of this world.

As much as I love Miki and her more or less being what everyone thinks of when remembering Lush, Emma's contributions to Lush were what transformed the band into the beloved gem we all know and love now. She's an incredibly underrated guitar player (listen to Desire Lines or Never Never off Split and tell me I'm wrong). I also find that the majority of my favorite songs by Lush were written by her and not Miki. And then tragically we only ever got one song where she sang primary vocal and it was on an EP (Astronaut); it's one of the most underrated Shoegaze songs ever, much less Lush songs. The woman is essentially female Kevin Shields, she's awesome!

Life is sad. People get old, but their music is still great.

Their vocal harmonies are nothing short of angelic. Probably the gentlest voices I've ever heard.

One of my absolute favorite bands. I was lucky enough to see them in Chicago in the early '90s, they were incredible. This is one of my favorite songs ever by anyone. To put this in perspective, I have nearly 60, 000 songs in my iTunes library in a wide variety of genres and have a record collection dating from 1964.

It's still amazing how Emma and Miki still have the same connection musically. God, I was so relieved after watching this...2:49 had me sold. Plus, it was nice seeing dude on Bass again with these two fine ladies. The drummer isn't a slouch either. I really enjoyed watching this again....I just wish this team stayed together...
