Great List! I'm following you since that Paul Davids episode! I just play the blues and as every blues player there is a moment when you just start looking to jazz, to expanding and growing, to me is almost mandatory 'cos I'm addicted to Allman Brothers Band and Kenny Burrell. Since this day I'd learned many lessons from you. Thanks a lot, Rotem. Cheers from Brazil!

I'm with you about trios (and also quartets). I think it's because there is space in the music; my ears can hear it all without instruments stepping all over each other. I have quite a few of your Top 10. You seem to like piano trios/quartets, which I think is unusual for guitarists. Good choices....

You gave me some homework! I never heard of any of these albums, but I trust your opinion since you are obviously one of the greatest guitarists alive today.

Usually I disagree with all or part of lists like this, but this is an excellent list of Best Jazz albums.

Such a great video. I love learning who inspired the musicians who inspire me. I’ve only properly listened to Night Train, Portraits of Jazz and Smokin’ at the Half Note and very excited to hear the other seven.
I would really appreciate learning your top 11-20 albums list if you have the time (even if it’s not another YouTube video).
Good luck with your journey!

Some unexpected albums in this list - can't wait to check these out for myself. Curious, how do you view "Kind of Blue"? Do you think its that more of an album that would be on the non-jazz players top ten, and maybe functions more as a historical ground-breaking milestone (no pun intended) than as an example of great interaction between musicians? Also, I wonder how many jazz albums feature authentic one-take, live interaction as opposed to musicians producing separate studio tracks? - that would definitely affect the outcome as well.
