I came along with my shop's owners with the intent to purchase new tooling packages for our lathes and completely disregarded Sandvik due to this booth in the owners minds. With no visual representations like with the Iscar, Kennametal, YG and other booths they were closed off from a customer. At shows, visuals and live representation are everything for the guys with the pocketbook. This was a miss step in my opinion.

Knowing your habits does add value. The ones you should keep and develop, and the ones you should leave behind because they don't do you any good. What habits do you have that are worth preserving, and perhaps expand? I'll share one from my "home", choosing the sustainable path. Both for our operation, and for the development of our products.

I walked right past there Booth. It just didn’t seem very interesting or inviting and I use Sandvik on a daily basis. It was kind of sad!

Man, I heard IMTS was a bust this year. Sandvik not bringing tool definitely confirms it.

Def. an aim at big manufacturing business and not small shops. Each to their own.
As long as there helpful to the little guys the other 364 days a year helping with tool selection i guess
