Dolly Parton is a country legend who has been recording & writing songs since the 60's. Love her storytelling songs the most like "Jolene" & "Coat Of Many Colors". She has had so many hits such as "Yellow Roses", "My Tennessee Mountain Home", "Here You Come Again", "9 To 5" etc. She did a lot of great duets with Kenny Rogers & Porter Wagoner. She also collaborated with Linda Ronstadt & Emmylou Harris & they released a few "Trio" albums.

For me as a german who was born 1964 thats her most iconic song. Else, even since i was more into progressive rock back in the days, i also had a bit of a country phase that started when i heared the song "Joey" from Bob Dylan and the backing vocals from Emmylou Harris there were just soo nice. Else my favorites were Mary Chapin Carpenter and Kathy Mattea. And some othere i already forgot the name meanwhile.
