I discovered this product years ago and never looked back. Recently, they've upped their game with four new gourmet entries: Italian Herb, Smokey Chipotle, Adobo, and Sofrito. As someone who lives alone, these products allow me to add depth of flavor that would otherwise be difficult to achieve in the small, single-portion dishes I tend to make. **NOTE: I am not a paid spokesperson for this brand, I just really love their poduct :)

Discovered BTB at Costco years ago, and always felt a little guilty using it and liking it better than box broth. After ATK's blessing, no more guilt. :)

Pam here….I discovered Better than Boullion and it takes up so little shelf space! A no brainer…And the flavor is SUPERIOR!! I have the beef, chicken, garlic and veggie versions on hand at all times!! Broke the boxed broth habit in a big hurry!!

i switched over to BTB a couple years ago and haven't looked back. The taste is incredible and you can put it straight up in dishes that don't use broth to get more enhanced flavor. I love this stuff

Love this stuff! One of my favorite kitchen hacks is to add a little bit of unflavored gelatin to the water along with the BTB. Gets you much closer to the richness of a high-quality homemade stock.

The huge problem with better than bouillon is that it is almost impossible to reopen the jar after the first use without a large pair of pliers! I always take care to make sure that the rim of the jar and the lid are both clean before putting the lid back on, but on multiple jars I have had the problem of not being able to reopen them without the pliers.

I do wish Costco sold the big jars in a wider variety though, BTB has a few dozen options at this point, Costco only sells 3. That said, if you had to pick which 3, that'd be the ones. I don't know if folks know to combine them either, the chicken is great but you can absolutely improve the flavoe of your broth with a dollop of the veggie. A dollop in a marinade is amazing to

BTB’s entire product lineup has become nothing short of essential in my cooking! 😊

I've been using it exclusively since the early 90's. It only took one taste. What shocks me is how few people seem to know about it. Thanks for the needed exposure!

Any thoughts on the salt content?
The regular product has 30% and the “low sodium” one has 23%!!!
(The “low sodium” BTB has more than a box regular sodium product)
That’s an awful lot of salt.

I recall ATK's initial review of BTB concentrates several years ago in their Cook's Illustrated magazine and I've been using them faithfully whenever homemade isn't in my freezer.

One major problem with BTB. It has a very high sodium content...680 mg of sodium in one tsp which makes 8 oz of broth. One can buy organic low sodium beef broth with 125 mg of sodium per 8 oz. I add a small amount of tomato paste which makes a better broth than BTB. If you don't mind the extremely high sodium BTB is a very good choice.

BTB has maltodextrin and yeast extract as ingredients, but boxed broth does not have those ingredients listed on the label. "Maltodextrin is a type of carbohydrate, but it undergoes intense processing." "Yeast extract is a common ingredient in commercially prepared soups. It is a flavor enhancer like monosodium glutamate (MSG)."

Unfortunately, most BTB is extremely salty. Using it precludes adding any seasoning mix or ingredient with a noticeable amount of salt....

My dad survived a heart pre-pandemic, and we had to shift a lot of our ingredients to adjust to the low-sodium, low-fat diet. We had to say goodbye to the store-bought bouillon cubes in our country, but since then BTB has been a lifesaver for us in managing our diet.

I've used BTB for decades. I do LOTS of home canning and always have loads of broth, but sometimes I want the concentrate. The ham base is so good when canning navy beans, too.

This has been my secret weapon in all of my soups. My family has always bought those cartons of broth/stock. If you actually give the majority of them a taste, they are mostly flavorless and the only taste present is overcooked, bitter bones. I've only had 2 brands that tasted ok on their own, but I would still find myself wanting to add BtB to the final dish, or at least some of the knorr chicken bouillon powder.

I've used this for years and introduced it to many people. When a person is REALLY down with a BAD cold, this broth is healing! But I use it in everything.

Yes! We’ve been using this for a couple years now and dang it’s good! I saw they had a turkey gravy in jars at Costco so I grabbed a couple and am excited to try them. I love homemade gravy but when the good stuff runs out or you’re in a pinch, having a quick grab thing is always nice.
