Why do you think all the insurance companies are pulling out of these places? It’s because their actuaries have done all the calculations. I see nothing sad about this since it has been predicted for decades. Thousands of people from the north have moved to places in the south that are going to be ravaged by storms – the likes of which we have never seen before. All predicted and all about to happen with greater intensity as time goes on. Facts.

This why the rest of us pay so much for insurance.

Kind of ignoring the ones that purposely drive into floods.

Many of these cars will end up elsewhere for sale by unscrupulous dealers .

Beware, as previously owned vehicles from Florida make their way across the country.

Don’t buy a used car without verifying its history.

Vote for politicians who BELIEVE in science. If INSURANCE companies believe in climate change, why can't denialist politicians???? DEMAND change.

Wow between the high cost of living, low wages and high insurance premiums and the destructive weather that causes rampant flooding. What makes it worth living in south Florida especially?

when I worked on school buses we used to get buses that had electrical issues and we would take them apart and they had sand up past the roof lines as they were under water and sold as auction vehicles, sold then went through Canada back to the USA to unsuspecting school districts. That is why your Blue Bird bus is only $500 and it is a 2020 model year. when you buy a used car, always pull the back seat out and check for mud and the plenom for debris

The ideal Florida vehical might be a military APV with snorkel option.

Insurance companies shouldn’t have to take loss on these vehicles. There were flood warnings issued days before these waters arrived.. It was negligent for these owners to allow their cars to be by these flood waters. They should have parked them on high ground or garages the city opened up for people to temporarily store and park cars in to protect against this loss of property. Let the owner assume the loss on their own negligence if they knew there were flood warnings issued instead of passing the buck to others by raising everyone else’s premiums. That’s the way it should be and perhaps eventually will be 🤞🏼with increased flooding in the future.

If they knew rain like this was coming, wouldn't you park your vehicle some where high

The biggest waste of money on your claim will be the thousands of dollars in Storage fees those shops will be charging to just hold your car until the insurance company goes out to total the car.
