John Petrucci Trinity Pick

Take charge of your technique with the JP Trinity Pick. We started with the Jazz III’s size for its lightning fast maneuverability, and we added the shoulder contours of the Flow Pick for their excellent handling. For even greater control, we broadened the back end of the pick to create a small triangle—perfect for choking up nice and tight. The resulting pick offers an entirely new playing experience that’s smoother, faster, and more disciplined than ever.

“This pick has helped me reach new levels of speed and accuracy,” John says. “The quick-release edges allow me to execute difficult, complex licks with ease, and the three-sided shape provides superior handling. The rigid Ultex® material makes for an incredibly smooth attack and a noticeably fuller and sweeter tone.”

1:55 John switching to British accent for a moment, and immediately switching back

This pick teached me to play more precisely. It has that very tactile feel, conforming that i attack the note evenly. It does last 3 times longer! 😍

Thanks john and dunlop team 🙏🏻

Whenever I buy one of his picks, they release a different version.

Just bought my first pack today! For years I rocked the red dunlop jazz iii then one of my buddies brought one over during a jam and I instantly fell in love. They feel pretty similar but the jp just feels more… smooth.

It's a bass pick basically but with pointy edges... Cool pick!

I just got the JP flow 2.0 for the first time... It is honestly the best pick I have every had... the bevel is perfect.. on something like the stubby Jazz 3 it is too bevelled so you have no options on your picking angle.. but with this you do.. it is somehow grippy without being sticky our rough.. it sounds good and feels stable without being annoying large.. to whoever actually designed and thought out this pick, just congratulations it is fantastic.

It’s amazing - should be a standard in thinner gauges.
John Petrucci’s picks always makes me play better than ever. They’re optimized for shred. The only flaw is the loud chirp from a thick ultex pick.

Did an SG style guitar build. Used his liquifire pickup in the neck position. Very nice. These picks look intriguing.

Been using these for a few weeks now and they’re killer! Took a bit getting used to as I’m not used to this pick size (even coming from using a Jazz III for over 15 years). Was a fairly quick transition, though. Great tone, feel and grip with this pick. Check ‘em out if you haven’t yet. I picked up a bunch of the new Flow picks as well and the Petrucci Flow pick kicks ass too! Really digging the 2.5, 3.0 and 420 Flow picks too. Good stuff, Dunlop!

Finally a pointy triangle in ultex. Im not a fan of john but it does not matter because he helped me make my wish come true. Just got a pack and i love that pick! 😍 I hope it will last 3 times longer than a single edged ultex jazz iii. 😜

I would love to try this pick, but I use 9-42 gauge strings in standard and drop D tuning and I don't like the way 2.0mm picks feel and sound with the lighter gauge strings. My current favorite picks are the Dunlop Flow Rabea 1.0 mm. Those picks feel and sound really nice with the 9-42s.

I just came here to testify that the Trinity JP pick is amazing..It just "replaced" my Jazz 3 white 1.14mm that I played for years almost on a permanent basis. I was not a fan of previous JP picks, Flows and the JP Jazz 3s where too "Plucky"....had an annoying click tone especially when arpeggiated. And the Flow was huge!!! Transition to Trinity was super smooth, took me like 5 seconds, and it just has better accuracy than my regular Jazz 3s. Also, it feels more robust and durable..With my white J3s I wreck the tip in a few days...The Trinity definitely lasts me more..and that's only 1 out of the 3 tips :) I found the pick I was looking for....

Years ago, I used the purple Jazz Dunlop teardrop picks which were excellent for " slicing " across the strings. But, after a finger accident two years ago, I had to switch back to larger pick sizes ( Steve Vai's picks are perfect for that ). However, I'm curious about these Petrucci picks. Some of my guitar buddies disagree with me but the shape and size/thickness of picks have a HUGE difference in terms of tone. At least, to my ears. I'll have to check these JP picks out!
