Short, to the point, and very helpful. I appreciate that you showed us a side by side of the zoomed in pixelation. That’s the only way to know for sure which is better quality. Why would an editor use “scale to” when the quality is obviously much lower? Is there a use case?

How does this differ from just scaling it to fit the frame. Does it actually interpolate and create a crispier final like some of those stand alone paid upscalers do ?

I’m about to get one of these programs, which would be most cost efficient and less time consuming upscaling video game clips and old footage?

I keep seeing Adobe Premiere, Topasz and After Effects...

I mostly want the best upscale effects and lightweight as most editing will be light due to video game clips and only the old footage upscaling (family and friends paying small fees) would really need light retouches
