You’ve got to move fast to find football stars of the future, but every club misses some, and today we’re looking at some of the worst misses in history. We include Chelsea rejecting Mbappe, Haaland almost going to Everton, and Bayern Munich calling de Bruyne overpriced, as well as some legends who nearly made their name in England, like Ruud Gullit, who could have joined Arsenal, and Roberto Carlos, who might have been an Aston Villa star. We’ve also got some players on the up like Victor Osimhen and Manchester United reject Martinelli, while Salah and Cavani round out the list.

I know it is not the Premier League, but I have heard stories about my domestic team Brøndby IF (Denmark) had Modric on trial when he was young, 17-ish, but I have never seen anything official about it - maybe you could check it out sometime :) He was allegedly also rejected in Denmark for being too small in size. I would say Liverpool missed Luis Alberto more than Iago Aspas.he could have fitted directly into Klopp system better than Lallana and then target Piotr Zieliński .
