In case you downloaded zip file and you can not select it from application(it can be shown in grey color and not selectable) then once it is downloaded on your phone - modify the name of this downloaded file to anything else(you can delete any letter - it just needs to be modified). And then go again to the application and select the file - it should be selectable now. Once again - do not extract file - download it as a single zip file.

Alright, let's get down to business. First things first, find the model name of your scooter—it's conveniently located on the side of the deck, just like in the video. Open up the DownG app on your phone and connect it to your scooter. Prove you're serious about this upgrade by pressing the power button on your scooter to confirm the connection.

Next up, it's time to select the right zip file for the job. There are two options: one to upgrade the speed and the other to reset everything back to default in case things go bad. You can find those files in the description below. Choose the upgrade file and hit the flashy 'Flash' button. Trust me, it's like launching a rocket, only cooler!

Now, here's the part where you need to pay attention. Stay connected to your scooter throughout the entire process. No wandering off or taking calls from your grandma. If the connection drops, your scooter might get a bit grumpy and end up damaged. And no one wants a grumpy scooter, right?

While the upgrade is in progress, resist the urge to fiddle with your phone or turn off your scooter. It's a delicate dance between technology and magic, and we don't want to mess it up. Sit back, relax, and watch as I speed up the video to make the process feel like a breeze. Voila! In just 2 minutes, you've got yourself a souped-up scooter ready to hit the road!

Now that we've upgraded the firmware, let's explore some cool features in the 'Tools' option. You can enable or disable Cruise control. And if you're wondering about the strength of the braking regeneration, I suggest going for the weakest setting. You have the option here to turn on or off back lights while the scooter is on.

You can even personalize your scooter's name.

Now, let's power off the scooter after the patch and turn it back on. We need to ensure that the changes take effect. And there it is, folks! The display proudly shows a maximum speed of 33 km/h when idling. But on the road, without any pesky inclines, this beauty can reach a sweet spot of 30 to 31 km/h.

Please keep in mind, that this patch works like a charm for the Xiaomi PRO2 scooter only. Don't try it on any other models, or you might end up in the market for a new motherboard. And trust me, that's not exactly pocket-friendly. eBay or some other e-shop might come to your rescue in such a dire situation. Or, maybe you can salvage a working motherboard from another second-hand scooter. Just a thought.

Why did you only increased it to 35 km/h and not 40 km/h so you can get about 35-38km/h on road? Is it bcz it might overheat by increasing it to 40km/h? Would you recommend increasing the max speed to 40km/h or not?

I did this first but then got a 10 inch wheel on my xiaomi pro 2 and changed did the flash again but made sure to weight I had changed the wheel with a different flasher and now does 40 on flat and about 45 rolling down a kinda steap hill

I saw a previous video where you changed the speed using turbo mode on a Xiaomi Essential. Is it possible to have a program where both the handbrake and throttle need to be activated to activate turbo mode, and when they're not activated, it remains at the default maximum speed of 20 km/h and not 25 km/h

this does not work anymore, only works with very old scooters that have not been updated. The only way to remove the limiter is the physically remove it from within the scooter which can be difficult if you don't know what you're doing
