'Il trittico' combines three one-act operas in one performance: Il tabarro, Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi. I saw one of the performances at the theater. Each opera was well-thought-out, with new ideas, and contemporary settings. My only quibble was with the characterization of the Principessa. She strolled in, swinging her hips like Carmen, nothing like the cold and formidable creature she really is. But overall, the performance was outstanding.
