The Starman has flown past mars two years after SpaceX launched It two years ago. Starman is a famous dummy that was launched into space in 2018. It was placed inside SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy as a payload

The payload was attached to the second stage of a SpaceX Falcon Heavy Rocket. Starman is driving Elon Musk’s own cherry red Tesla roadster. Tesla car came within 5 million miles of the planet. It’s a long distance

Currently, mars is appear about 1/10 the size of the Moon. It is small but not a point. Starman will not get any closer to mars until 2035. So far, The vehicle has completed approximately 1.7507 orbits around the Sun. Currently, roadster is over 37 million miles from Earth

It has traveled nearly 1.3 billion miles since launching nearly 2 years and 8 months ago. It will be some time before it comes back to Earth again. In the year 2047, It will pass about 5 million km from Earth. Starman could one day crash-land back on Earth

A model has predicted that starman will swing back past Earth in 2091. Tesla roadster has a slim chance of 6% of crashing into Earth in the next million years. The stamen mission boosted the efforts towards sending first humans to mars.

A question regarding the tesla returning to earth. How will the Tesla return to earth If It's out flying in space? The car doesn't do a U-Turn or is that a programmed car? (xD)? No seriously, how will the car return, If its already flying towards mars and far beyond? It's not coming back or? Will the car also fly out of the galaxy or our solar system?

I like how anytime there is a diagram of the earth and planets, somebody puts a telsa floating around out there. It may have cost millions to get it there, but it generates a lot of PR.

5 million miles is close? The moon is around 250K miles away from Earth.
