It's not the cheapest, but if someone is interested in a simple XLR to USB interface the Blue Icicle is a decent option. If someone does want to use the Blue Icicle, don't plug it directly into the microphone like so many people do. That will break it after a while. Instead, use an XLR cable to plug the mic into the Blue Icicle. And that lighting trick you used worked wonderfully :).

...huh. I was digging through old stuff for a mic setup and couldn't find a spare xlr cable and when I look it up i come across this. Conveniently the only spare mic is a Shure SM58 Dynamic mic. Guess I'll buy a xlr-usb cable xd

Can I put a microphone jack to mini usb converter. and plug it in the dslr usb.

The Condenser Mic ((1st one)) needs phantom power where the Dynamic Mic does not. The USB not sufficient power

I just purchased a mixer with only one xlr input, I need atleast 2 more mics, should I just purchase a new one or is there anything I can use like a splitter? Thank you!

i just bought a condenser mic off of amazon that had xler to usb chord that came with it, I plugged it into my windows 7 pc and it wont read the usb connection, I plugged in my mouse and it read the mouse.. I was wondering is that because I need phantom power?

how could I hook up my 2035 to my Ps4 pro? I have the scarlett solo gen2 for the phantom power however the only usb is the one that comes with the Solo plugs in the computer just fine, but I'm not getting a read off the ps4 any suggestions?
