Notes:
1) The small-quake swarm in Turkey continues. Japan had  5 pointer this morning. Watch is 6 to 7 right now but trending upward for an extended watch to start the new year. We have been at mid-level or more on the pressure build for most of the month, but not had a global watch score of 8 yet.
2) Solar flaring is now on a steady up-trend. Something to eye throughout the day.
3) Happy birthday to my eldest little 4-legged friend :)

RE something hitting the sun:
-Backside CME. I showed it yesterday in green zooming in at the end sequence. Nothing hit the sun. SOHO censors all big CMEs. I taught BP that back when he was MrCometWatch. BULLS__ stories like that one is what caused him to be on his 4th channel now. Don't take his roller coaster of fear. I would have thought his ISON nonsense would have taught you that… same man, same nonsense, different channel name, different year, different followers. Fact.

~In Corvallis, OR, the skies are "Eeyore Grey" (yep, that's my "scientific term" for the colorization of today's sky), with 33* degree F temperatures, 4 miles of visibility,
North wind at zero miles an hour, and an 86% humidity level.

Still burning up down here in Buenos Aires; close to 3 consecutive weeks with temperatures above 35ºC, heat index above 40ºC; no rain as of yet & going on my 13th consecutive day without ANY electricity.
Not a fun thing to live in a pre-industrial age.
