Track 10 from their fourteenth album “Roll the Bones” released in 1991 copyright Anthem Records. It was their sixth recorded at Le Studio in the Laurentian Mountains near Morin Heights, Quebec. Additional sessions were recorded at McClear Place in Toronto and vocals and mixing were done in London with co-producer Rupert Hine. The new material continued to be written with an emphasis on guitar and a reduction in the use of synthesizers & sequencers. The album was their most successful in a while and received above average reviews. It reached No. 11 in Canada, No. 10 in the U.K., No. 6 in Finland and No. 3 on the Billboard chart. It’s been certified Silver in the U.K. and Platinum in Canada and the U.S. This was their twelfth album cover designed by Hugh Syme, who would be involved with all their subsequent releases. The album’s theme was the element of chance in all aspects of life and the cover art was imaginative and slightly dark. It reminds me of the striking, thought-provoking covers designed by England’s Hipgnosis for some of the greatest albums of the seventies.
