I don’t understand the obsession with screen pixels. I could care less lol😂 as long as I can see the screen I’m good. I’m a average user I don’t need anything crazy. The battery life is what draws me to this Moto phone! I currently have an iPhone 6s and the battery is terrible. I have terrible vision and the screen is to small, I’m looking forward to a big screen.

What you fail to realize is that the power consumption on a 720p display is much lower than on a higher resolution. The entire point of this model is to increase the battery life. I use my phone for business mainly. Since I'm not a graphic designer or photographer, the display makes no difference to me at all. Unfortunately I have to keep upgrading my phone due to keep in compliance with application versioning and planned obsolescence or I would likely still be using my phone from 2017. Simply put, it is an attractive feature to have a 720p screen to me and quite a few other people.

I had an older Motorola with great sound. I needed a new phone and was having difficulty finding a phone with good sound quality in the mid price range. I bought last year's Moto G Fast and it is great!

I actually have the G power 2020 version and I will not be upgrading to the 2021. Honestly, the only 3 things that I like are the silver color, side fingerprint sensor and the increased size of the screen. Still, this is not enough of a reason for me to do an upgrade if you can call it that. By the way, The 20/20 version will turbo charge at 15 watts. For whatever reason, Motorola just did not include the turbo charger in the box. Moreover, I talked to several people at Motorola and they assured me that the 2020 version will be getting Android 11 at some point in time.

I bought last year's model in early December 2020 and so far so good. The battery lasts a long time and it recharges super fast.

I bought it for my Dad. Its pretty fucking great, especially for a $200-ish price point. Makes me question if I really need a flagship device.

It's interesting that while this is considered a "Power" model here in America, it's known as the G "Play" in Europe and other Markets. Add to this that our G "Play" is also known as the E7 Plus...it gets pretty confusing

Why would any budget phone in 2021 not rock at least a 1080p screen...and after the previous moto power model had given us a 1080 screen. Why in the world would moto go back to a freaking 720p screen? Just ridiculous. On that factor alone I wouldn't touch this phone.

Another phone maker downgrading. We should not buy these downgraded smartphones. If I have a GPower from last year keep. Also keep 2020 G Stylus. The 2021 is a downgrade

I would love to have a phone like that. I'm not looking at the batter power, but I'm looking at the resolution when it comes to watching videos and playing games on it. As long as it can play good games with that kind of resolution, then that's the phone I want.

From my recollection, I think Motorola is responding to the reviews of last year's model, many reviewers talked about getting alot of phone for the money and complained about not being able to differentiate between the three models released at the same time, so, now their doing some of that and releasing more expensive models with the stereo speakers and better screen and more, 2020 models with stereo speakers and 1080p screens are a better deal, but, the 2021 models aren't a bad deal either...

I have last year's MotoGP power and I'm very happy with it and hearing all of these downgrades kind of makes me sick because I was looking forward to getting the next version but not anymore. I might consider going and get another one just like I have and just leaving it in the box until I need another phone

I bought this phone coming from a g7plus, and got a refund within a hour, and bought a 2020 Stylo, I was so disappointed and frustrated with Motorola, especially since my g7 was the best phone I ever had

IMHO at this point one is better off buying last year's G Power with its 1080p display and stereo speakers, likely discounted as well. Only real advantage of G Power (2021) is an extra year or so worth of security updates and side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Won't benefit on the OS side as it''ll be stuck on Android 11 just like the 2020 variant, a big miscue on Motorola's part imo.
