Thank you very much. The reason I had to disassemble my laptop is quite embarrassing. So I've been using Blu-tack to cover my camera for privacy reasons as I never needed to use it. Years later I finally needed to turn on the camera so I removed the Blu-tack and turned the camera on but the camera didn't work. I couldn't figure out why it didn't work because the light would turn on and I could only see a black screen. Turns out my camera basically had cataracts and the Blu-tack somehow seeped through the seam of the lens and bezel. I confirmed this by shining a torch into the camera and I could see the light on my screen. Was able to remove the bezel whilst the screen was still attached and got most of the Blu-tack out. I'll be using masking tape next time smh.

This video was great unfortunately whe. I went to take apart the laptop the screws were so tight and i was unable to remove them and they stripped incredibly easy and the one screw that was on the antenna area was already stripped before i could even try and remove it (this was my first time opening up the laptop) o also removed the antenna just as you showed but now the antenna wont work! So sadly i didnt get my keyboard replaced. However the video was helpful sadly i just was unable to replace mine. Thanks for the video

it was working before, and after the thermal paste replacements and everything else, i put it back and the speakers arent working. i am sure enough that its the hardware that i might have messed up, so do you have any idea where it is, including the connections and all that

Hey man. I actually screwed up the wifi card bolt. its too tight and I can't seem to remove it and now the bolt it ruined and there is nothing i can do now. Can I get to the cpu without removing wifi card? I just want to replace thermal paste

Liked the G7 but the keyboard on mine is screwed since it is crap with keys just not working . To replace it is a nightmare and others have said even bringing it to a Dell directed tech shop the techs screwed up reattaching it and needed a new attaching harness from Dell costing hundreds. What the FF? I now have a USB external keyboard which works for now but this is the last Dell I buy. Not making this mistake again.
