Easy Acrylic Paint Background Mixed Media Technique

This easy acrylic paint background is fun to try and is a great mixed media technique to try. To find out what I used to make it click the 'Show More' button or the triangle on mobile.

I love using this easy acrylic paint background mixed media technique, you can get some gorgeous watercolor-like textures with it and then work more layers over the top without any worry that the layer will be muddied or spoiled. So give it a go!

I would love to see your work so please do link me in on social media anything you share that was inspired by my videos and projects, all my links are below.

Still chuckling over the "nothing in my head." Sometimes I'm pretty sure there's absolutely zero in mine! Congrats on the milestone. Another great tutorial Kim. X

This turned out so amazing Kim! I love your graphic work and it´s perfect on that background. Congratulations for over 5000 subbies, you really deserve it. I saw a video were you used Infusions, I have them, too. It would be nice to see a video were you use them. And I love flip-troughs...Tfs, Fia xx

Love all your art work and how it just comes together from play. I’ve been enjoying all my gelli print playing and you are right, you need to just play sometimes! Xx

My question is what is the difference between watercolor paper and Bristol Paper besides the texture? When should you use each paper.

Awesome job Kim! Love this, as is the case with all your vids. lol on the "tumbleweeds". I actually laughed at this because some days, I have tumbleweeds in mine. 😂😂😂

I also scan my backgrounds, pretty much, all of them. I have gone back and printed the same ones out to use in different projects and cards. If I do this, I can reprint and add to the backgrounds.

I have a question. Do you use watercolor paper or just cardstock with the watercolor acrylic painting? The reason I ask, is because I barely see any curling in your paper.

Thanks for sharing this beauty and have a great creative week. 💕
