Ford's F-150 is the best-selling pickup truck in the world. Now the company has revealed an electric model. CBS transportation correspondent Errol Barnett went for a ride.

You can use the truck as a back up generator for your home? That in itself might increase sales. Beautiful truck

How much range when you're actually towing something though?

So where do you charge back up after 230 miles? and how long does that

A real test would be taking it to the dirt roads on Navajo nation

Also, the ranges were measured with a 1000 lb load in each. The long range unloaded could do between 400 and 460

So the high-end lightning F-150 ($100k) maxes out at 300 MI while the high-end cybertruck at $60, 000 can give you 400 plus miles to charge? Seems like a no brainer, Tesla FTW

What about the ones I don't have plug-ins at the house how you posed to plug it in if you don't got a plug-in in a house like a regular Roadhouse

Only if there were more charging stations out there! I might consider this, love the "frunk". BUT not enough mileage per charge for myself being I travel to and from NV/ CA a few times a month and have never seen or noticed charging stations along I-15 from NV to CA or vice versa. (unless because I never look for them)
Also Have to consider the time it takes to fully charge this truck at a station, I am not about to wait an hour or even 30 min for charging so then there is that also. After searching, I doubt I will be interested in this truck :( due to little to no charging stations, at least from what I have searched .

I thought we be having flying cars by 2021 honestly…. Grew up watching The jetsons so they are to blame for my high expectations of humanity!

Wonder how it'll compare to the Tesla Cybertruck

A 230 mile & 300 mile range? For those that'll haul often you won't be able to get much done or travel far in a day. Your just gonna spend most of the time charging.

I wasn’t gonna change my mind on diverting from Ford or the F-150 even if it meant it was gonna be gas guzzling in the future, but now that I see this, I’m relieved. Unless this will end up like General Motors’ first car. No one’s gonna turn their truck in to no one.

That truck will be on a grid meaning you will not be able to leave if they don't want you to
