One time I had a survivor i was working on a gen with try to make me stop working on it because of pain res.
But I knew the survivor getting hooked had already triggered their pain res stack so i was not budging off the generator.
Looking back that probably was frustrating them till they saw the gen didn't blow up.

Getting up off the gen only really works if Pain Res comboes with Dead Man's Switch. Otherwise getting up is a waste of time.
