In the mystical realm of Azeroth, a race both feared and misunderstood roams the wilds. These hyena-like humanoids embody a primal blend of savagery and untapped potential. Their reputation is marked by a warlike nature and a brutish demeanour, yet beneath this rough exterior lies a complex society, bound by deep-seated traditions and a fierce sense of loyalty. As we delve into the lore of these fascinating creatures, we uncover the untold stories and hidden depths of the race known as the Gnolls.

Often employing their natural surroundings to enhance their defences, their settlements reflect a rudimentary and nomadic lifestyle. The Gnolls are a race marked by a history of chaos, resilience, and an unexpected depth of culture. From disorganised bands to a formidable force under unified leadership, their journey through this world’s past is one of adaptability and survival instincts in a world teeming with ceaseless conflict.

As we venture into the unpredictable world of the Gnolls, our path leads us through the diverse territories of Azeroth, where each pack plays a unique role in shaping the land's destiny. From windswept plains to shadowy forests, many of these regions echo with the tales of these clans. This exploration reveals how these individual tribes, each with their own customs and strategies, have adapted to the lands they inhabit.

"The height of a young kodo or an orc on the shoulders of a gnome" People will use anything but the metric system.

I feel like the gnolls' place among the venture company deserves some attention as well.
There are already many instances of gnolls serving as mercenaries to more intelligent races, i really hope to one day see more on that aspect in wow's future...

Wow, what impeccable timing! Just last night, I was rewatching your Loch Modan and Dun Murough videos, reminiscing on many fond memories of Vanilla Azeroth...only to be pleasantly surprised today by this latest upload! I unfortunately won't be able to watch it tonight, but very much look forward to doing so within the next night or two. Thanks once again, Loremaster, for all of the incredible content you create for us all!

The metric system will be disregarded by the general public. "The height of a young kodo or an orc on the shoulders of a gnome"

Two Gnolls are sitting in the woods eating lunch. One says: "Man I hate my wife."

The other responds: "Then just eat the salad".

My favorite piece of Gnoll literature is the Gnoll strategy guide in Redreige:

I finally had the opportunity of enjoying this latest fantastic installment of Azerothian lore tonight. I am at a particular loss of words from 29:59 onwards...this portion, partially due to its (presumably-intentional) climactic positioning within this episode's script, manifested merely too unquantifiable a volume of blissful nostalgia for my yearning mind to properly rationalize. As one of innumerable others around the world who first explored Azeroth as a Human adventurer back in 2004, and whose first notable victory in battle was over the infamous King Hogger, I extend my most geniune of thanks to you, Loremaster, for this particular installment of the Chronicles of Azeroth. Thank you!!

Amazingly done, it’s like a documentary you would see on the History Channel. This is my first one but I look forward to watching them all. Just subscribed today and thank you for the awesome content.

An awesome video idea would be the lore of Ulduar!

It’s the cradle of dwarves, Vrykul, and in an indirect way humanity.

What has happened since the fall of the Lich King?

Because of you, I'll be returning to WoW after being gone since 2012. Thank you for reigniting my passion for this game

The origins of the gnolls is indeed mysterious. They could be corrupted titan creations, but I don’t remember any stone/metal gnolls at Ulduar or any other titan facility.

They could be descended from a wild god from the Emerald Dream, but I’ve never seen a wild god (which includes the Loa the trolls worship and the August Cellestials in Pandaria) that could be the origin of the gnolls.

Anyone else have any idea?

Nice 👌
Edit: I just realized your videos are the only ones I watch that take up my whole landscape mode even around my camera. That's more than nice. It's awesome.

I absolutely loved the video. I knew about most of these tribes but I have to admit I didn't know about The Mudsnout or the Woodpaw. So that was very surprising and enjoyable! Keep up the great work that you're doing! I also loved that you included "Hogger was the first real challenge for many young adventurers." I remember his infamy in classic WoW. Ahh, the old days. Now I feel old...

Love your videos! Brilliant writing, it always feels relaxing to listen. Would it be possible to have the narrator voice pause a bit longer between sentences? Think it would accentuate the words even more and give a bit more weight and breath to the listening experience.
Keep up the good work and all the best for you and your channel ! :)
