What’s the best location for defense tho. Yesterday my base got destroyed by 3 stupid looking dinosaurs with a dumb look on its face.

I made mine at the mountain NW of the Chillet where the bridge is at. The raids get stuck at the bottom of the mountain so I don't need to worry bout it.

If you're gonna try hatch penkings from eggs then I would say just do the boss penking every hour. Guaranteed catch he's just a bit stronger then normal but after a certain point he's very easy

New favorite place for a base, thanks! I was real close to the start area and it was fine but this location is fantastic for an awesome main base. Pals aren't aggressive or the ones that are rarely show up here and ore is plentiful! A resource I was sorely lacking... Now it auto generates just like my food, wood, and rock.

Can’t stand when people try to stretch videos. Whole first 3 minutes till the map shows was useless rambling. 🤣

Made mine a bit west of the syndicate tower just behind the desolate church. Very defensible with a natural wall and slope that you can use to funnel enemies into a killzone. 2 levels to build on, trees and mushrooms for an easy start. Only problem is no paldium in close vicinity. Luckily I found out about paldium refining using a crusher with the help of this nice comment below 👍

I really hope they're going to add ore pit, like the lumber and stone areas so you can farm ore anywhere.

I honestly made a ranch and put three capritys in it for quick food source

you can also use vanwyrms, depresos, and tombats to keep the camp working at night as well

One thing I would recommend is day/night cycle speed. Ores respawn every 24 hours or so, so the quicker they respawn, the less you will have to worry about them running out of ore. At least in the beginning when you are trying to build up your stockpile. Once, you got a good amount nyou can lower the cycle back if you want.

There’s a glitch I experienced being this location was my first base.

It kept making the pals go into and out of combat super fast in turn slowing their movement down.

There’s 2 ways to fix it and I wish I knew the easier way.

You can break the base box and reset it or just unlock the alarm bell and flick that twice.

This happened after being raided.

How long does it take for resources to regenerate? I already made my base there but there is nothing, there is no place to mine iron

I built a ramp that doubles as a house that lets the pals climb up to the cliff side. It took a while to line it up so that it would reach the cliff side without overshooting it since you cannot build the foundations separately to meet each other. It goes up like 4 stairs, followed by one flat roof and down one stair right into the cliffs edge. Now you can put stuff at the top of the cliff, and the pals can reach it.

How to manage the tasks they do? I pick up the tombats or other pals with F and manually place them on the rocks. It then says task assigned but whenever I come back they are randomly running around doing BS. Help is v appreciated.

Wixen if you get them are really good for the furnace and won't get distracted getting lumber.

I built mine on a super tall mountain that has 5 ore deposits on it. Invaders are just confusingly running below around the mountain until they give up. No chance they would ever get in

From my experience there's a caveat. Really only works if you're in the area.
