As a Newcastle fan I will be the first to call out the Saudi ownership of its human right abuses. I understand seeing my beloved team win brings joy unparalleled especially when you compare it with the Ashley years. Still, to ignore the controversy around us and Blame it all on “mainstream media bias” is a disservice to what our club stands for. We all enjoy winning. But we shouldn’t be ignorant of very real issues behind the purchase of our club. It is a conflicting feeling. So to any Newcastle fans out there who might or might not agree, just keep in mind why they purchased us. Yes, we’re allowed to enjoy winning, but also Remember, just like our team colours, there’s always a black and white side to everything .

Honestly, any fanbase that has to deal with Mike Ashley for 15 years deserves any and all success they get, especially if they're as passionate as the Geordies.

Learned about Newcastle as a peruvian because of Solano back in the mid 2000s, so I always remembered them even when relegated. So I'm kinda glad they're somewhat gaining more ground and relevance in the EPL space.

My first game at st James park was in 1964, as you can imagine there have been a lot more downs than ups but for the first time in my life the club is pulling in the right direction . I do not care where the money comes from, all money is dirty and you cannot escape from it .

Honestly, the world laughs when westerners complain about another country's human rights record. Are we all forgetting Iraq, Libya, Nicaragua, and Vietnam? Westerners should be the last people pointing fingers when it comes to human rights.

In 2018 one of most historical Portuguese clubs was split in half which was CF Os Belenenses.Essentialy the club set up a SAD in 1999 to run the professional football team of CF Os Belenenses. When the club split in 2018 the professional team which was the SAD stayed in the first division while the CF Os Belenenses registered in the 6th division (they have now been promoted to the 2nd division) while the SAD are in 2nd division but currently could be relegated. But there is a possibility that the original club CF Os Belenenses will play its former professional SAD.

I have supported this club since my first game in 1979 and we have had good times and bad but mostly bad, now we are challenging the status quo of the Big Six and you know what they hate it and we love it! Thank you Saudi Arabia.

As a Newcastle fan I was reluctant to watch this as most fan bases blaming money for our success this season. It was good to see a well balanced argument that Howe has improved pretty much every player that was already at the club. All Newcastle fans wanted was an owner that respected the club, the city and had a bit of ambition. Do i feel 100% comfortable with the ownership? No, but do other fans expect us to boycott our club? Where were all these self righteous fans when Chelsea were bought out?

I think Newcastle deserve everything that they have right now

As a West Ham fan I do agree we are a good comparison but you also have to take into account:
a) second year in a row in Europe. Our players have been knackered and rotational minimal. (As a Burnley fan you know the effect it can have ;) )
b) ALOT of injuries from the new signings, meaning adaptation has been super slow and rotations couldn’t be made.
c) Moyes experimenting with a new system. A lot of the summer signings were to transition into a possession based way of playing. That failed, went back to counter attacking and now we’re safe. Transition seasons can be hard, even when spending a lot. Newcastle could feel the effect of Europe next season
d) VAR has not been our friend. Maybe personal bias, but there are some stats out there about our net point gain due to errors with VAR. probably the least valid point here and everyone probably feels that way about their club!

Definitely been a frustrating year for us, but back to back semi finals, and a promising hope of a final.

Overall, good video, and I agree with a lot of your points!

I thought Newcastle would get top 4, last year after Eddie Howe came in they had the 3rd best form in the league and it was natural to expect that to continue with some big money signings.

I think the biggest issue with football owners is that with top flight clubs they are worth so much and there’s such a small group of people with that kind of wealth. It’s hard to criticize a club for being owned by rich people when the club costs so much just to by let alone run

im a random kid from the us who decided to pick up football and watch the premier league and decided that newcastle will be the team i choose to support for no specific reason. learning more about the owners and who they are as well as what theyve done is truly heartbreaking because i was clueless about this until now, personally id like to keep the football separate from the politics involved but im glad im informed about the behind the scenes and im sorry for those who've dealt with human rights abuse. thank you for vizeh this content is very informative and is why i watch you.

I am happy for Newcastle fans, they deserve this type of success after Mike Ashley's ownership. Credit is due to Eddie Howe on Newcastle's rise and their scouting and transfers have also been smart since they haven't invested the money like Man City has.
I look at more the staff recruitment of Newcastle. Instead of recruiting players, Newcastle have recruited a lot of staff from top 6 clubs. As an Arsenal fan, I am well aware they recently got our talent scout Eddie Black. It's a different approach but kind of cool. However, I doubt these staff members aren't getting paid a lot more than their former clubs and I doubt they would have joined Newcastle in the first place.

I’m a newcastle United fan, had a season ticket for almost 10 years (season we got relegated to be exact), I’ve seen some shocking football and no investment. Rafa always wanted the investment, but never got it, which is why he left. Same with good footballers, who all left because they were to never see a future. When we got taken over, I was over the moon and have been ever since that we actually go to a match and have a belief we will win most games, and not that we are going to lose. I do get all of the controversy about the owners, but as fans, it’s not out issue, we just want the football on the pitch to be exciting. Any other fans would have loved to be in our position.

As a kid who grew up in Saudi Arabia I think the western media portrayal of the country has never been good, I love this country a lot and happy that they took over newcastle, I hope they do well in the champions league

Can’t wait for in 10 years time when kids start calling Newcastle an “oil club “ with “plastic fans “

I´m a Malmö FF supporter and here in Sweden we have a rule which makes it illegal to own a football club whichmeans that every club is fan owned, and i love it this way it feels much more real and the gap between us and the other teams in the League is fully earned on the pitch and not some plastic money. Football is the fans game keep it that way.

as a young Newcastle fan, I've been following my club home and away for the last 15 years. The owners could behead whoever thy wish on the halfway line at half time. I literally couldn't care less. I'm seeing attacking 433 football after being stuck with Mike Ashley and Steve Bruce. these people are saviours in my eyes. Up the Saudi Mags.

As a fan of genuine football, rather than money football (ie Man City, Chelsea ), I like the way that Newcastle have gone about their business in the transfer market. They have started to build a dynasty on solid ground, blending players gradually rather than buying superstars and hoping they could blend. As for the owners, I believe that most of the criticism from other football fans is due to jealousy. If it was their club, they would have kept quiet. As to the political criticism, it is the same left wing suspects who pop up every single time. I believe that if it was up to them, no-one would be allowed to be rich and powerful and be able to buy anything. Carry on Newcastle, you're doing a great job. Ignore all the jealous champagne socialists.
