I saw a good video on the hit registration the other day.
Apparently the inputs only register during a rendered frame. not only that, but the input goes back in time to be registered on the previous rendered frame (In cs:go it was on the next frame as you would expect).
They probably should do the same thing that valorant does where the inputs are handled even between frames and then the actual trajectory is calculated based on the interpolated to somewhere in between the current and next frame based on the timestamp.

I've got a decent one for the whole losing tech thing. I showed up to a very busy international airport about an hour ahead of boarding (I know, shoulda been earlier). I ubered there. And I have the same problem as luke, nothing stays in my pockets. My phone fell out. I had to frantically ask other patrons of the airport to borrow their phone, somehow managed to call my phone which the uber driver answered, got him to swing back around by promising him like 40 bucks, met him at departures with like 30 minutes to spare, got through security with 10 minutes to boarding, sprinted through 2 gates, and made my flight...

The most fun part is I had a searing migraine and the second I got on board I had ridiculous nausea and had a very fun pre-flight time in the restroom.

Regardless, I had my phone and made my flight.. That's a success in my book.

For the reticle thing, shots taken at greater than 50m cannot provide adaptive feedback in real life. The reason is that unless you are firing a rifle from a bench rest with a spotter who is also using a spotters scope equipped with elevation windage and range finding (something that would not, repeat NOT, occur in combat) your adaptive feedback for the second and successive shots during burst or fully automatic fire isn't going to be available to you.

Distance shots (defined as any shot with a rifle beyond 50m) in real life are never burst or auto fire. Automatic fire happens in a shorter time interval than the ability of most shooters to reset and reacquire the target, not to mention that the recoil under automatic fire is so intense for most platforms that you need arm strength on par with a gorilla in order to absorb the kinetic energy of the recoil and still maintain sight picture.
