Bill Burr gives a perfect history lesson to his fans. John Iadarola breaks it down on The Damage Report. Leave a comment with your thoughts below!

"Bringing factories back to America won’t do any good for the American people if we don’t bring back strong unions. I’d like to see A.I. try to generate a steel mill strike.

So far, 2025 has been the year in which stand-up superstar Bill Burr takes up the cause of attacking exploitative, soulless billionaires like Elon Musk who engineer inhumane outcomes for the rest of the world and financial windfalls for themselves while pretending to be patriots fighting for working people. After ruffling feathers across conservative media for defending accused CEO shooter Luigi Mangione and proclaiming that “rabid dog” billionaires need to be “put down,” Burr has moved on to exposing the downstream effects of robber barons gaming international economics and politics, pointing to the American labor movement of the late 19th century to explain why President Trump’s tariffs scheme isn’t going to bringing back stable industrial jobs as much as it enriches his billionaire buddies."

True masculinity defends and fights for those who can not defend or fight for themselves.

My grandfather and my father both fought for the unions, my grandfather was permanently injured fighting the hired thugs paid by the corporations.

I live in Milwaukee and in the Bayview area there is a monument for where a bunch of workers that fought for workers rights were gunned down by the state militia. The so called Golden Age was an age of exploitation and massive wealth inequality that we should never aspire to again.

Hard times create progressives.
Progressives bring good times.
Good times create conservatives.
Conservatives bring hard times.

I’m living in central NC, moved here in 1999 to a tiny historic farming district just south of the capitol. The only non farming jobs were from the denim factory. Guess what? The CEO moved the factory to Mexico to receive more tax breaks plus cheaper labor. My family was so shocked we immediately helped open a local homeless shelter/ soup kitchen. We only received enough donations to keep it running for 3 years, but it was the worst 3 years the community had ever experienced.

All very true. Ultimately, corporations go where they can exploit people.

It was the corporations and tax policy that "stole " our jobs. Outsourcing consumer goods helped cover up product inflation, appeasing the consumer.

As a viewer from Germany, I cannot express the respect I have for your work. In the face of this incredibly cruel government, you are giving reasonable people a voice.

The biggest point here that Bill made is that prices dnt have to go up it would just mean that CEOs would half to forgo a second yacht and a third home in the Hamptons

Comedians have a way of looking at things that gives them a very good insight into politics, economics, psychology and a bunch of other social sciences. This puts them in a unique position to understand and articulate the inanities of society and therefore makes them a unique source of information. Ask yourself, how many right-wing comedians are there, and out of that small number how many are actually funny?

I’ve said it all along. It’s not right vs left. Conservative vs progressive. Democrats vs Republicans. It’s what it’s always been…rich and powerful vs the poor and under represented.

Just watch an episode of shark tank. Anytime they talk about the cost to produce a product and the people say oh we've got a factory right here in Ohio.... The sharks will say what you need to figure out a way to offshore that into China.

The three Rs: repacious greed, revolution and reform. Sadly, also a vicious cycle.

The most important aspect was at the end: "The factory owners could not protect their same profit"
