This was one of my dad's favourite songs. We used to listen to Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton when I was a child. That line "and there were three of them, " still gets me. All these years later and this song still gives me chills. It will never grow old. One of the best songs ever written. Miss you dad and miss you KR.

I lost a dear friend 3 days ago to bone cancer. He gave us the best, priceless and most wise advice. He loved this song so much that he even sang it to us all the time. My papa pasaed away this April at 89. Just opened his CD player beside his bed and found an old country CD. This was the first track. After hearing it, it has brung back so many memories. He was such a good singer and remember him singing this fondly. Cant wait to go through this whole CD. I'm sure a lot of tears will be shed as I go through it. Brilliant memories of a brilliant man.

I grew up in Zimbabwe and had my first girlfriend Mary in the Mid 80s. We lived in Glennorah B and we loved country music so much. Kenny Rogers, Don Williams and Dolly Parton were some of our favourite singers. Coward of the County was one of our favourite songs. Mary passed on years ago just like our legend Kenny Rogers. Rest in peace Kenny and Mary I hope you have a good old shindig with our legend.
