ive just spent the last day changing hundreds of tasks from using join to using the tasker remote, makes things simpler and more intuitive, while join was good, id ratehr things be fully native in tasker

😂, it could have saved a lot of time if u could have provided this earlier .i spent weeks trying to get this work and found that using autoremote and import data was the key to do that by sending
xml as txt msg in autoremote

anyway, kudos!! for the great work 🎉

Sincerely though, I really appreciate all you've done for the Tasker and its community. ❤️ I'm in software development, and I gotta say I really admire the level of passion you have for your craft. Whenever the goings get rough and I see a new vid from you, I'm immediately reminded why I fell in love with coding and it fills me with determination!

And man, I still need to check out Tasker's widget v2, which I was very excited to see (and I'm not even a "GUI guy", like at all). I wanted to ask though, do you think Tasker Scenes will ever get a rehaul, like to be on par with widget v2? As it stands now, widget v2 is in some ways a more modern, powerful UI building tool than Tasker's own Scenes? Btw, I hope this doesn't come off as me having the AUDACITY to nag you for more stuff 😂. Just curious if you had been thinking about that.

As much as I like this concept and idea of remote execution and return values - since it uses google infra, it's a no-go for me.
And the setup is rather a bit complicated, I doubt, not so tech-savvy users will get this managed.
A self-hostable open source server component would be nice. It could be simpler (device registration via QR code etc) and 100% use own infra. (of course, self-hosting is also not a solution for the not so tech-savvy users)

i have two devices. Both gmail id are different and both have tasker.
Any way to communicate one to another?
