The Rays of Sunshine Choir x Silvastone - behind the scenes of Rainbow

“Rainbow” was co-written by the Sunshine Choir – a group of budding young singers who have all faced serious illnesses and had a wish granted by Rays of Sunshine.

The lyrics reflect the group’s lived experiences with their illnesses and encourages listeners to find their own inner strength. Lyrics include, “I’m a champion // I stand tall // There is nothing that can make me small”, and “Today I’m brave // Strong // Happy and bright // And you can’t stop me // You can’t dim my light”.

The choir aims to reduce feelings of isolation, while giving young people who have similar experiences of living with serious illness the chance to bond over their shared love of music.
