Love this elastic. I am having problems sewing through elastic. Randomly rubber strands push though. I changed my needle to a stretch needle but it’s still doing it. Suggestions?

OK my question is on this one can you do this with any elastic or just the brand that you’re using in the video

I use normal elastic and as I cut it it's fraying what will prevent fraying of the elastic, it's the one that's used in pants and leggings plz suggest me

Can you use scissors to cut the elastic or does it have to be that wheel cutter?

Can you help me with something. I just had a friend send my husband and myself a couple homemade masks she made for us for the Coronavirus pandemic. The masks are great, but she cut a wide piece of elastic down to get more use out of it. We wore the masks one time and the elastic is already fraying on the side that she cut it down on. I'm hoping this doesnt ruin the elastic and cause us to not be able to use our masks. Is there a quick solution that will stop the fraying? I dont sew? I was thinking of rubbing some Elmer's glue down the side. Not sure that will help because we have to wash the masks often. Please help!
