Apparently the death was always related to some negative trait of the character, kind of a karma punishment for the greeks. I wonder if somebody died of old age, in their sleep and surrounded by a beautiful, loving, supportive family. That would be an interesting finding in greek mythology if it exists...Apparently it wasn't attractive to the crowds for entertainment.

Heracles had a centar mentor who invited him to a dinner party and by accident he drank a sacred wine of the centars which made them angry and tried to ambush heracles so he slaughtered all of them with his hydra poisoned arrows even his mentor died in agony with a friendly fire except for one who ran away and plotted his vengeance and he offered to carry his wife across the river but when he reached the other side nessis tried to r*pe her so heracles shot him with an arrow and before dying nessis apologised to her and said he never wanted to harm her just heracles and she was just in the middle so as a sign of his regret he convinced her to dip his shirt in his blood as it have a love spell to ensure that heracles won't leave her and she believed him but that was his plan all along for heracles to die with the same poison and to feel the same agony as all of the centars and it worked but heracles still lived as a god or demi god in olympus after his death
