I don't know if I commented on this before not, but this happen to one of my high school best friends. Her parents arranged a marriage as soon as we graduated, and she kind of fell off the face of the Earth. From what I hear it went really bad and he was super abusive. Absolutely broke my heart.

I know it's not the same route to get there, but for me, having to turn tricks traumatized me in the same way because I felt forced to sleep with someone/s A) I resent and B) I'm not physically attracted to. And before all you Karen's come out of the woodwork, sometimes sex work is a choice, and other times, it is not.

It’s horrifying at the number of women and young girls who have been straight murdered due to not wanting to live those ways or following their way of life. The amount of women abused and traumatized. My heart breaks for them

My ex husband and bio father of my daughter is middle eastern, his entire family had arranged marriages (and yes in the USA) community in Fremont California and even married first cousins!!!! When we got together they started a entire war I was told daily I was no good because I was American and Americans have no values their evil. Mind you in was 16 and he was 28 but me being American was the issue??? I could write a book.
