Mercruiser alpha 1 gen 1 selector shaft alignment.

Installing the selector shaft foot that meets up with the upper outboard to select the gear forward or reverse.

the main issue was with the shift shaft...I had it clocked "incorrectly" counter clockwise.....once clocked clockwise and reinstalled it worked.
