If you were a popular dog photographer saving photos across many hard drives, your server will quickly run out of physical space for additional hard drives. Where do you centralize and store all of those photos? That's where a storage area network comes in.

With a SAN you can collect all of your pictures together and place them in a centralized pool of redundant storage nodes physically separate from your server. Scaling up the amount of available storage is quick and easy.

Hey, I dont mean to give negative review on your video, but in your Case I would have used a NAS rather than a SAN. SAN is for really big companies rather than private purpose.... my own opinion. but nice video. :)

Here's a crazy thought: Why don't you do a SAN explained in 120 seconds? That way you can speak at half the speed and most people would have a better chance of trying to make out what you're trying to say!
