What do you think of the new Engwe L20 2.0 ?

Just bought this bike and really like it. My biggest concern was whether it would handle the steep hills I plan to ride on. After testing it on those hills I am happy to say that it handled the steepest hills I could find without any problem. The bike has very good acceleration and gets me from point A to point B in no time at all.

I’m a disabled senior and this review might work out for me. I have tried a lot of things to get mobility back but it’s been either returned or sold at a loss. A knee scooter also has not helped me and presently is on the market.

Agree with the key being a problem like that, the battery is likely an off the shelf factory item to keep costs down I think.

I agree, the key sticking out of the side of the battery to run it is an idiotic arrangement: too easy to lose, too easy to get damaged, too easy to be stolen or "jacked". The most ideal method would be a shut-down toggle which (importantly) cannot turn the bike on, but it CAN turn it off. The key would only be to initially turn on the bike. That way you can turn on the bike initially, stow your key safely away, and when you get off the bike, you just flip a toggle switch to power down, no key needed.

NO! You are correct, the key should not be sticking out while you are riding it, first thing me or my wife will do is break that thing off, accidentally of course, but for real I definitely can see that happening. Maybe I can get inside the socket and drop some of the wafers like I did on my 20 plus years old CRV, NOW I CAN LEAVE MY CAR RUNNING WHEN I NEED TO GET BACK INSIDE MY HOUSE IN THE WINTER, AFTER I FORGET SOMETHING INSIDE. 😂 I JUST PULL MY KEYS OUT WITH OUT TURNING the tumbler AND THE CAR KEEPS RUNNING. 😂

The only thing about Engwe is the terrible bars way too high even for people who at all makes some less manoeuverable that’s why so many people put BMX stems and handlebars on the bikes, looks like a really good utility bike but I’ve heard the motors are not 750w, they’re about 500 W, but for the price point seems like an excellent bike for shopping, et cetera

What was the previous model please? I have been looking and considering to by the Engwe L20 SE. Is the the previous model you talk about or another one. And i don't see hardly any difference between the L20 SE and this one. Even the same price.

All of the negatives can be fixed but not at $800, it's a great bike for the money.

Did the bike come with the front rack or did you have to add that onto the purchase?

Just bought. Don't get the front rack. Don't have any thing to mount my headlight to. The seat doesn't go down far enough for my height. Had to put front fender on. And the bolts all had lock tight on them. What a fucking pain. And now to talk for me😢😢😢😢

I have 2 l20 fat tire biggest down fall is u get an error code like i have on 1 of the bikes trottle not working cant increase speed on speedometer got error code e025 but if i put the speedometer of the good bike it works fine so order new speedometer it still says e025 error code and trying to get answers from supplier is a nightmare my local bike shops wont touch the bikes cos they are chinese and dont comply with uk safety regulations so iam stuck dont know what to do and the company are a discrace to with
