I just came across this video today and you have no idea the joy it gave me. I grew up in or eberloor as the locals pronounce it. and went to school and was friends with Nicky Walker of the Walker shortbread company. The mashtun was my local, albeit in them days called the station hotel. I have not been back since my parents died and loved seeing the Main Street again and the houses where some of my friends still live. My dad worked at glenfarclas distillery which is a few miles from the town. The cemetery is home to a long line of my family. Your information was spot on throughout. Brought a tear to my eye as you brought back so many great memories of my life there. Thank you.

Thank you, it’s so interesting to see this and to listen to your thoughtful knowledge of the area. My ancestors lived in Aberlour during the 1500-1700s, the Leslie, Anderson and Gordon families. I live in Australia, hope to visit the place one day. Btw, I think the MacPherson motto should be Touch Not The Cat BOT the Glove, not BUT, which changes the meaning as BOT means “without”. Anyway, thank you once again.
