Taking One Last Look At The Xbox 360 Store Before It's Shutdown

The Xbox 360 store is set to be shutdown next month so today I wanted to explore the last remains of the digital store.

The biggest concern for me is are we going to lose the cover art in the games library. Its so silly these requires online to display box arts.

Reminder to redeem all your unused codes that you might've gotten with games.
I was looking through my collection of games and noticed my flea market copy of Gears of War 4 for Xbox One came with a code card for all the Xbox 360 Gears of War games.
To my surprise all of the codes worked with no issues despite them being nearly 8 years old! Seems they didn't set an expiry date on these.

The 360, PS3, Wii era of video-games was the best era. I still play all three systems today upscaled to 4K resolution on my Roku TV. 😊

I just realized that the 360 feels dead when you browse because you're not getting constant notifications of people coming online or someone's beacon activating

I still have my Halo Reach Xbox 360. I played the hell out of that thing. So many good times playing with friends on Halo and Gears.😊

This hurts my feels. I remember the first day I got my 360 and one thing that always stuck with me was the ability to change your gamertag picture. Little did I know that you could also UNLOCK the profile icons by playing certain games. I played pac-man champion edition and unlocked all the ghosts as icons! that little detail made me so happy at the time. That ended up leading onto late night custom games in halo 3, actually using the netflix watch party features with friends and so much more. Wish i could go back!

I’ve bought an Xbox 360 from Facebook marketplace and filled the hard drive with all my purchased digital games and will keep it in storage
