As someone who loves their soft and thick cookies, I'm now making cookies with egg yolks.

For anyone that wants their cookies like the second one, I always add an egg and an extra yolk instead of two plain yolks. This is the perfect balance between the original cookie and a slightly thicker and more gooey one! Thanks for posting btw! I love this series. ❤

I have what I think is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe and I've always wondered why it called for one whole egg and one yolk. I've tried using 2 whole eggs and the texture was definitely different with just the extra egg white. I knew there was something about the yolks, but I didn't know what made them different from the whites. This made a lot of sense.
