He escapes the most confusing maze in history and then voluntarily goes back in, absolute madness

Mixed feelings on this one. It's really strange how Chris finally managed to find the exit, only to come back into the backrooms without a second thought when asked, considering what he's been through and the shit he's seen in there. People went missing in front of his eyes and he's like "yea sure I'll come with you".
Another thing that bothered me is that these scientists/researches also went in without much thought, no safety protocols, no permission, nothing. They just jumped right in there.
Other than that, great work on everything else!

good addition to the story, but I have to say though, there's no way our protagonist ( Chris iirc) would wander around these trippy ass hallways for 3 days, and not be too freaked out, tired, hungry AND dehydrated to just decide to go back in straight away.
not to mention seeing a bunch of monsters and shit in there, who in his right mind would just calmly decide to go back?
either he's an entity himself, or our protagonist is superman or something :S

Two more small critiques.
1. When he was running away, why wouldn't he follow the line? I think anyone in that situation would most likely run like hell along the line until you got back to the facility.
2. If the researchers had a limited supply of air why wouldn't they have something like a golf cart to cover distances more quickly? They're going to use most of it just getting to and returning from the place where they plan to start their search.

3. Bonus critique. Yeah, the breathing.

"I was lost for 3 days there."
"You wanna head back in?"
"Yeah sure!"

Because why the hell not 😂

As others have said, this one is a bit immersion breaking tbh. I don't really care about the loud breathing personally, I think it makes sense. I just can't understand why Chris would be so down to head right back in without food, water, a shower, and a fucking billion dollar prize. He was stuck in there for 3 days and was probably back in the real world for less than like 15 minutes before he just walks right back in when he's already seen the terrain shift before AND encountered the entities? One of the hazmat's mentioned bringing him in so he could lead them, but all the pathways are marked by tape and he's literally just some random civilian so why would they even want to bring him back in? Like yeah, just found out both that 3 of our colleagues have likely been killed already or are lost starving deep in the maze, AND that this place can just pick up normal people from reality and plop them inside, but the one guy mentions he didn't even let the supervisor know they were headed back in? It's pretty ridiculous, unless of course there's like some specific reason planned for all of this lol.

Edit: As someone pointed out, they did notify the supervisor. I heard the line as "Nah, I'll just let him know.", but even in the captions he says "Yeah, I just let him know." so my bad there.

Hey I just escaped the backrooms! You know what? Lets go back in. Seems like a great idea after being there for days.

So I have some theories here that can maybe explain the immersion breakers people have been talking about. Maybe they actually did collect his footage and just gave him a new tape to record on. This could explain the long gap in time before Chris had his suit on. As for sending him back into the complex it could be that they realized he was already doomed and didn't feel like treating him. He maybe agreed to it because the bacteria is messing with his head perhaps? Yeah I know that part is quite a stretch but I still feel strong about the footage explanation.

bro, any human being that went through hellish nightmare wouldn't want to go back.

It would've been better if the researchers sent Christopher away, having him tested and interviewed. And then, the story would just center on the researchers themselves returning to the Backrooms to find their coworkers. They couldn't have just send him back to the Backrooms like that. Regardless, great video.

Amazing job! Only problem is that the breathing is too loud, after a while it gets annoying

I love this work. However, this is the first to break my immersion. Why did he get sent back in immediately after getting out? It would have been more effective to interview the Chris or review the video tape. Now you risk losing the videotape if he gets lost again. Also, the gas mask breathing does not make since unless the camera is inside the suit with him.

"I've spent the last 3 days being hunted by other worldly creatures and almost died a dozen or more times; all while choking on bacteria. But yeah sure, I'll go back into that deathtrap of a maze unarmed and unprepared."

1) An outsider should have never been involved in any work going back into the backrooms. He should have gone through decontamination and debriefing, then returned back to wherever he originally came from and told never to speak of anything he witnessed. That or have him apply to work for A-Sync if it was felt that his experience would be valueable to future explorations.
2) A search and rescue mission should have involved more than just 3 people. A team of at least six would be more appropriate.
3) None of the researchers have any sort of means to defend themselves should anything happen or they encounter something hostile. Even if they had never encountered any entities yet, they should be armed.
4) When traversing such long distances, they should be utilizing some form of wheeled transportation, such as bicycles or motorized carts. It allows for much faster travel and the researchers would not get tired from being on their feet all the time and walking for hours.
5) All researchers in the backrooms should have some form of communication line back to HQ at all times. If the interior of the backrooms interferes with radio signals, then have wired communication stations setup every 500 feet or so.
6) Absolutely nobody seems to have any sense of urgency throughout the rescue planning or execution. This means that: a) this has never happened before and they're just making things up as they go along, meaning there is no plan, just react and see what happens. b) this actually occurs often and the lost researchers just show back up as suddenly as they disappeared, no harm done. c) this has happened before with none or some of the missing never being found, but A-Sync makes it clear that the research must continue regardless of the human cost, meaning the researchers are simply following along and hoping for the best.

Conclusion: A-Sync needs to upgrade and rethink their safety precautions regarding the backrooms phenomina. I understand this footage is nearly 40 years old, so it is likely that these issues were addressed a long time ago. These early ventures into the backrooms seems ameaturish and lazy.

The "researchers" reacted to the situation like it is something completely unexpected, and they talk about going through the threshold like it was nothing (even inform superior before going in is optional). Also from the previous episode we know that they leave the threshold completely unguarded and directly connected to their office wing. They also trying to find people lost in the backroom by retracing, which we know is nonsense. All of these suggests they lack basic understanding about the backroom, combined with the backroom table model (the same one used in Kane's real estate video), this whole incident may be occurring at an early time point in history, when A-sync have yet realize the danger in backroom and was simply trying to commercialize the whole endeavor. These may not be researchers at all but real estate agents or surveyors (people who measure/mark the land for sale).

There's no way I'd walk back into the Backrooms without a weapon. That's just foolish.

I love how they just suited up and went in so casually unarmed. I love it even more when Chris just runs the other direction instead of just following back the taped path.

7:52 bro tripped on air then made the floor frictionless 💀

All jokes aside this wasn’t too bad. Of course the breathing is annoying, and the plot of him almost dying then willingly goes back in is unrealistic

Chris: I got lost in an extradimensional space for days and encountered horrifying entities!

Scientist: wanna do it again?

Chris: yes, also I have asthma
