HYPER BEAR MOUNTAIN VS TREK MARLIN 5 | THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN | WALMART BIKE VS TREK BIKES

The Hyper Bear Mountain is Wal Marts go to mountain bike, on their website they describe it as a trail and causal bike, well i wanted to compare what this has to a Trek Marlin 5 one of my most popular bikes!

To be honest the hyper bear is a good bike for casual riding pretty fast and worth $168 CAD

Did u notice not all the gears on the left hand side don’t work for the Walmart hyper bear mountain bike? Every 3 clicks then it moves up one gear on the pedal spindle Is that normal? If it’s like in between a step up to a next gear in the low high range side it just makes a weird noise without changing gears.I bought 2 bikes and both do the same. The gears on the right hand side for rear wheel spindle all 7 of them work without issues. Is this normal? I know it’s a budget bike and it’s my first mountain bike. Thanks

Did anything happen to it after you took it on the mountain, I'm just wondering but if I buy this bike I would just ride it on the roads or a normal trail so it should be find for that stuff

Been doing Walmart/Canadian tire bikes since I was just starting until 2020 when I bought my trek 820. I'd get a single riding season out of my cheap bikes riding everyday but once I pulled up to A&L to get my 820 I knew i was paying for what I was getting. It's lasted me until the end of this season and now I'm moving onto a marlin 6! Moral of the story, get a proper bike😂
