If you enjoy war thunder or are looking forward to Microsoft flight simulator 2020, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

This video aims to provide some basic explanations of the 1 circle nose position fight and the 2 circle rate fight in BFM or Basic Fighter maneuvering. We than go on to discuss the MAR or Minimum abort range and different fox codes and also cranking.

So I hope this video was helpful to some of the newer people on the channel or anyone who just wanted some things clarified and explained a little more clearly, Keep in mind these are basic explanations especially when it comes to the 1 circle 2 circle thing a lot of these concepts we can expand and talk about for people 20mins each lol if not more but thats not what this video was intended to be, anyway I hope you found this video useful Thank you for watching and the on going support with the channel. Much Love.

And here we have Professor Sidewinder in his natural habitat, disrespecting the current education system. Keep up the good work man. Can't wait for the Su57 vs F-22 video! That duel shall be legendary.

I just got accepted into a DCS squadron I applied to, so I'm doing as much hard learning as I can to be prepared and this has been one of the most helpful videos I've seen yet.

We used to call a 1 Circle Fight a "min Radius Nose Position Fight" - also what happens after about 1 or two further reverses is rather a Scissor (flat or rolling) than another 1 Circle since the flight paths will flatten out more and more...taught BFM for more than a decade...same principles still apply...

finally, i video he can just link to instead of incessantly repeating himself with every tacview overview

Since the start of the pandemic, I have been really getting into fighter jets and I love dogfighting in games like bf1, Bf4, war thunder, etc and so over those months I was going on google and looking up pilot terms like what a one circle fight is, the difference between bandits and bogeys, and alot of other stuff that took time to actually find. But then Growling sidewinder comes out and posts a video explaining every single thing I learning, but in a 17 minute video.... would have been nice if this was posted like 6 or 7 months ago...

The one-circle vs two-circle definition was the most clear definition of that that I have seen and it certainly helped me understand the difference between the two. Thank you GS!

Sharing this with the war thunder sim community - with the introduction of Fox-1’s and Fox-2’s on the F-4 Phantoms and MiG 21’s, this will help all of us. Much love!

BZ! I was the intelligence officer at VFA-106 and was responsible for the surface to air and air to air threat platform classes. Superb brief!

GS: "Do not attempt to use this knowledge in real aerial combat."
Some new Viper driver in B course: "Crap, back to the dash-one and 16 vol 3 I guess."
Edit: holy crap the likes, thanks guys!

"I'm treating it like an ARAAM so I should be sa.."

Good video, nice to learn some of the lingo and strategy, was watching a Super Hornet and F-16 video and was wondering the difference between a single circle and double circle. Good job!

This is very basic. And very wisely timed! I'm pleased that you're evolving you channel and expanding on your strengths. This is a great resource to the influx of new DCS players! I appreciate your efforts.

As much as I don't need this explained it's awesome that you've taken the time to do it.

Thanks for this. I've managed to pick up a lot of the lingo just by watching the vids, but its nice to have it all spelled out for us. :)
